Born on 13th March, 1970, Mohammed Nur Abba hails from Jere Local Government Area of Borno State. He attended Old Maiduguri Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1982. He went to Government Secondary School New Marte, Borno State where he got his WASC, GCE Certificate in 1986. Mohammed Nur Abba bagged a National Diploma (ND) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) all in Business Administration and Management from the famous Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri in 1991 and 1997 respectively. He was at the prestigious University of Maiduguri where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree, Bsc in Accountancy in 2014 with 2nd Class Lower Division (2.2) and currently awaiting to collect his MBA Finance result from the same prestigious University of Maiduguri after having successfully completed in 2019, he was a post graduate Diploma in Accountancy from the Nigerian College of Accountancy, Jos, Plateau State. He is an Associate Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Fellow, Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM), Fellow, Certified Management Consultants (FCMC), Member, Association of Chartered System Accountants United State and Member, Society for Forensic Accounting & Fraud Prevention (SFAFP).
Mohammed Nur Abba attended several workshops and summit both within and outside Nigeria organized by ANAN and other professional bodies, some of the programmes attended includes: Electronic Accounting & Electronic Spreadsheets NCA Professional (2015), IFRS & IPSAS Training Programme NCA professional (2016), Training workshop on Accountant-in Training (AIT) Scheme Information & Communication Technology ICT (2016), National workshop training on “Economic & Financial Crimes, Anti-corruption, Fiscal Responsibility & Good Governance (2017), 4th ANAN Dubai Accountants summit THEME: Nation Building – Lessons from the United Arab Emirates (E – Reporting – An introduction to Tally Accounting, Training workshop on improving the skills of Finance officers towards effective and efficient service delivery (2018) and summit organized by Association of Chartered System Accountants United State (Abuja chapter, 2018).
