Borno State Road Maintenance Agency (BORMA) was established by the Borno State House of Assembly Law NO. 1 of 2009. The newsletter NO. 47 Vol. 34 Law was Gazetted on 10th December, 2009 and subsequently the agency took up in 2011. However, the Law establishing the agency was amended through a law of Borno State House of Assembly (Amendment) Law 2017.

The Services we renders comprises of

  • Construct and maintain feeder roads
  • Make policy recommendation to Borno State Government on matters relating to maintenance of roads
  • Enter in to road concession contract for the purpose of executing the relevant projects
  • To plan and develop strategies towards ensuring effective management of traffic
  • To plan and manage the development and Implication of road safety standard
  • Set guidelines for the working of concession contract
  • The agency can bid for construction contracts through its subsidiary company, the BORNO ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (BEC)
